In the beginning... again

Here's to another try at a blog. I fall away from them usually, for one reason or another. Usually the reason is that my blog is a craft or topic-specific blog, and I find that I no longer have interest in that craft or topic. I am what they refer to as a "scanner". I love many things, many hobbies, many interests, many crafts, but I have only stuck with a few for more than a handful of months (weeks, days...). So in my best interest, and the best interest of this blog, I refuse to give it any specific topic or name. It's just "my place", or my endeavor to find a place. Somewhere I can come for some peace, writing, photos, sharing, and just generally a collection of me. I have a few hobbies and interests that will likely surface here more than others, because they are the lingering ones. The things that have tugged at my heart, hands, and creativity long enough to earn a permanent place in my life and mind. I am lover of making things. I love to sew, to refurbish, to craft, to crochet, to paint, to photograph, to bake, to learn, to find. There are other fleeting interests you may see here from time to time as well, but since I have no way of knowing what will strike my fancy next, I cannot foretell what those things are. Truth be told, I need a blog. I am a healthier person when I have a one, both physically and emotionally. I need an outlet, something to look forward to, something to write on. I am a doodler when I think or create, or just talk on the phone. I can fill a notepad with the most random of thoughts. This is my virtual notepad. A place to do my thing, and show what I do, because, honestly, I love to show people what I can (and cannot) do, and I love to see what others can do. Looking forward to a whim-filled future here on this page...

About Me

My photo
Hi, I'm AJ. I love many things. I'm good at some, I want to be good at others. I love art and color, making things new, and making things from scratch. I have kids, a great guy, and some manic dogs that I love.
